Security for Your Wedding Website
Your guests trust you with their information. Here's how we keep everything secure.
Automatic SSL/HTTPS
Every Marry The Details website includes:
Free SSL certificate
- Encrypts all data between guests and your site
- Shows the secure padlock icon
- Required by modern browsers
- Included at no extra cost
What SSL protects:
- Guest RSVP submissions
- Personal information entered
- Login credentials
- All form data
How to verify:
Look for the padlock icon in your browser's address bar. Click it to see certificate details.
Guest Data Protection
We protect your guest information:
Secure storage:
- Data encrypted at rest
- Hosted on secure cloud infrastructure
- Regular security audits
- Access controls and monitoring
What we store:
- Guest names and contact info
- RSVP responses
- Meal preferences
- Any information guests submit
What we never store:
- Full payment card numbers (handled by Stripe)
- Passwords in plain text
- Unnecessary personal data
Password Protection (Optional)
Add an extra layer of privacy:
- Go to Dashboard > Settings > Privacy
- Enable Password Protection
- Set your password
- Share password with guests (via invitation)
When to use:
- Very private wedding
- Don't want site indexed by search engines
- Limiting access to invited guests only
Note: This adds friction for guests. Most couples don't need it.
Privacy Settings
Control who sees what:

- Anyone with the link can view
- Search engines may index
- Best for most weddings

- Only people with direct link can access

- No search engine access
- Maximum privacy
