Changing Your Wedding Website Template

Want a fresh look? Switch templates anytime without losing your content.

How Template Switching Works

When you switch templates:

• All your content transfers automatically
• Guest list and RSVPs remain intact
• Photos stay in your gallery
• Budget and vendor info unchanged
• Only the visual design changes

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Go to Dashboard > Settings > Template
2. Browse all 9 templates
3. Click Preview on any template to see how your content looks
4. Click Apply Template to switch
5. Confirm the change
6. Your site updates immediately

What Transfers Automatically

Content:

• Partner names and wedding date
• Love story text
• Venue information
• Schedule/timeline events
• Accommodation details
• Registry links

Media:

• Hero/cover images
• Gallery photos
• Wedding party photos

Data:

• Guest list
• RSVP responses
• Budget information
• Vendor details

What May Need Adjustment

After switching, review these areas:

Colors:

• New template has default colors
• Previous custom colors are preserved
• You may want to adjust for the new design

Layout options:

• Each template has unique layouts
• Some sections may look different
• Preview and adjust as needed

Hero image:

• Different templates crop images differently
• You may need to reposition or choose a different image
• Check mobile view especially

Previewing Before Switching

Always preview first:

1. Click Preview on the new template
2. Your actual content appears in the new design
3. Check all pages: Home, RSVP, Gallery, etc.
4. View on mobile preview too
5. Only switch if you're happy

Switching Back

Changed your mind? You can switch back:

1. Return to Settings > Template
2. Select your previous template
3. Apply and confirm
4. Content appears exactly as before

Note: Custom color settings may need to be reapplied.
