Email Timing
RSVP reminders:
- First reminder: 2 weeks before deadline
- Final reminder: 3 days before deadline
- Set custom timing in Settings > RSVP
Best timing for invitations:
- Send initial invite 8-10 weeks out
- Avoid Monday mornings and Friday afternoons
- Weekend mornings often have good open rates
Email Delivery
Our emails use:
- Professional email service (high deliverability)
- Properly authenticated sending (SPF, DKIM)
- Mobile-optimized templates
- One-click unsubscribe option
If emails aren't arriving:
- Check spam/junk folders
- Add our sending address to contacts
- Verify email addresses are correct
- Try resending to affected guests
Unsubscribe Handling
Guest unsubscribes:
- They can still view your website
- They won't receive future emails from you
- You'll see "unsubscribed" status
- You can still see their RSVP response
Respecting preferences:
- Some guests prefer no emails
- Share info via website instead
- Consider their communication preferences
Email Best Practices
Avoid over-communication:
- Quality over quantity
- Only send when necessary
- Consolidate updates when possible
- Respect guest inbox space
Timing:
- Send during reasonable hours (9am-7pm)
- Avoid holidays and weekends for important emails
- Consider time zones for destination weddings
Content:
- Keep emails concise
- Clear call-to-action
- Include website link
- Personalize when possible
Troubleshooting Email Issues
Guests not receiving emails:
- Check email address spelling
- Ask them to check spam folder
- Verify their email works (test send)
- Try resending the email
- Contact support if persistent
Emails going to spam:
- Ask guests to mark as "not spam"
- Add our address to their contacts
- Use their personal email, not work
Pro Tip: Send yourself a test email before every campaign. Check how it looks on your phone and ensure all links work correctly!
