Sending RSVP Invitations to Your Guests
Digital RSVPs make collecting responses effortless. Here's how to send invitations your guests will love.
Before You Send
Ensure you have:
- [ ] Added all guests with email addresses
- [ ] Set your wedding date and venue details
- [ ] Customized your RSVP questions (meal choices, plus-ones, etc.)
- [ ] Set your RSVP deadline
Setting Up Your RSVP Form
Go to Dashboard > Settings > RSVP to configure:
Basic Questions (Always Included):
- Will you attend? (Yes/No/Maybe)
- Number of guests in party
Optional Questions:
- Meal preference (customize your options)
- Dietary restrictions (free text)
- Song requests
- Custom questions (up to 3)
Setting Your Deadline:
- Choose a date 3-4 weeks before your wedding
- Give caterers enough time for final counts
- Allow buffer for reminder emails
Customizing Your Message
Your invitation email includes:
- Subject line (customizable)
- Personal greeting with guest's name
- Your wedding details
- RSVP button linking to your site
- Your names and message
To customize:
- Go to Guests > Send Invitations > Customize Message
- Edit the email template
- Preview how it looks
- Save your changes
Sending Invitations
To send to all guests:
- Go to Guests > Send Invitations
- Click Send to All (sends to guests not yet invited)
- Confirm the send
To send to specific guests:
- Select individual guests from your list
- Click Send Invitation
- Confirm the send
To send a test email:
- Click Send Test and enter your email
- Review how the invitation looks
- Make adjustments if needed
What Guests Receive
Your guests will get an email containing:
- Your names and wedding date
- A personal message from you
- A prominent RSVP Now button
- Your website link for more details
When they click RSVP, they'll:
- Land on your beautiful wedding website
- See the RSVP form with their name pre-filled
- Answer your questions
- Submit their response
- Receive a confirmation email
Tracking Sent Invitations
After sending, you can see:
- Sent — Email successfully delivered
- Opened — Guest opened the email (when available)
- Clicked — Guest clicked the RSVP button
- Responded — Guest submitted their RSVP
Resending Invitations
If a guest didn't receive their invite:
- Find them in your guest list
- Click their name to open their profile
- Click Resend Invitation
- Check spam folders if they still don't see it
Timing Tips
When to send digital RSVPs:
- 8-12 weeks before the wedding
- After physical save-the-dates (if sending those)
- Early enough for guests to plan travel
Reminder schedule:
- First reminder: 2 weeks before deadline
- Final reminder: 3 days before deadline
